The Italian is yet to register an assist in the team.
So while Jorginho is often on the ball, is he really contributing to Chelsea in any attacking sense?
Jorginho’s uninspiring performance when on the ball against Newcastle came in the same week that Cesc Fabregas left the club.
Social media reaction
Jorginho 101 passes, 91.1% accuracy but drew a negative reaction from the Chelsea crowd today with a lot of poor forward passes. He seemed to mess up a lot of the more difficult forward passes, the type that Fabregas specialised in. #CFC #CHENEW

Jorginho gets blame for anything and everything because he came with Sarri, a manager they dislike because he’s trying to get us to play actual football instead of Sufferball. Funny fanbase.

Stamford Bridge getting very, very frustrated with Chelsea’s passing. Loud whistles greet a Jorginho effort that sails over Hazard #cfc #nufc

Can I bear to watch another Jorginho pass?

Jorginho is the problem here. Inability to pass a ball, can’t pick out a killer ball, lacks pace, sideways and backwards passing that leads to fuck all. It really isn’t good enough. #CFC
